Development of a flexible liquid metal RF coil array to improve brachial plexus MRI resolution, aiming for ~0.5 mm isotropic spatial resolution to enhance diagnosis and management of brachial plexopathies.

Description

Novel, liquid metal RF coil technology will be developed to enable the design of a conformal and flexible neck-brachial plexus coil array to deliver 3X-higher SNR. The hypothesis is that the spatial resolution will be ~0.5 mm isotropic, surpassing the current ~1 mm isotropic resolution of commercial coils. This will enable superior 3D resolution in brachial plexus magnetic resonance neurography, improving diagnosis and management.
