Description
The overarching goal of the Remote Data Enclave Core (Core F) of the Michigan Center on the Demography of Aging (MiCDA) is to advance research on the demography of aging by sharing restricted data from studies funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA). This core oversees the secure MiCDA virtual data enclave, providing study-partner-approved researchers with secure access to restricted data from specified remote locations at no charge. Study partners include the largest and longest-running NIA-funded panel studies: the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID), and the National Health and Aging Trends Study/National Study of Caregiving (NHATS/NSOC). The core will continue to provide secure, virtual access to data by adding new data, exploring new partnerships, upgrading infrastructure, and expanding machine learning capabilities.
