This award supports a project to develop and pilot a primary care intervention targeting high-risk patients with opioid use disorder to improve clinical outcomes and retention in treatment at federally qualified health centers.
Description
The project adapts an intensive primary care intervention of multi-disciplinary staff addressing social determinants of health to outreach complex patients with opioid use disorder seen in primary care, and assesses feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy to improve quality of care for these patients. The results will help community health systems develop scalable interventions for medically complex patients with opioid use disorder to improve health outcomes.
