Description
The project aims to define the role of Tnik in failed repair proximal tubule cells using a novel mouse model with Tnik ablation specifically in renal tubules, and to use single-cell multiomic technologies to study these cells in the transition from acute to chronic kidney disease in African Americans. The goal is to unravel molecular mechanisms of renal health disparities to develop novel therapeutics.
