Research project to study how attentional state influences neuroplasticity induced by brain stimulation to improve neuromodulation therapies for visual and neuropsychiatric disorders.

Description

This research aims to measure how attention, a well-understood and disease-relevant brain state, regulates rTMS-induced neuroplasticity in the human visual cortex and frontal eye fields. The experiments will produce fundamental knowledge to improve neuromodulation therapies for visual disorders such as hemineglect, scotoma, and amblyopia, as well as other neuropsychiatric disorders.
