Description
The Bioactive Lipid Mediators Core (BLMC) supports research to understand the systemic and neurophysiological outcomes of chronic drug use on lipid signaling, focusing on lipid biomarkers related to drug use disorders. The project involves evaluation of plasma lipidomics in drug abuse models, analysis of sex differences in bioactive lipids in the CNS, identification of changes in breast milk lipids due to drug exposure, development of data science techniques for lipid metabolite analysis, and training IU undergraduate students in lipidomics and related techniques.
