This NIH-funded project studies NR4A1's role in resolving pain and its potential as a non-addictive therapeutic target, also exploring SPP1 as a biomarker for pain resolution.
Description
The proposed study investigates the role of the nuclear receptor NR4A1 in pain resolution, aiming to validate NR4A1 as a non-addictive therapeutic target for postoperative and low back pain, conditions at high risk of opioid abuse. The study will also identify SPP1 as a biomarker for pain resolution and NR4A1 activity.
