Research project funded by the National Cancer Institute to study natural killer cell function in preventing breast cancer metastases and develop NK cell-based immunotherapies.

Description

This project aims to create novel 3D co-culture assays of NK cells and invasive breast cancer organoids and cell clusters to study NK cell function. The research will investigate how reprogrammed NK cells promote metastasis and how to restore their anti-metastatic activity through molecular and cellular approaches, including CRISPR-Cas9 tools.
