Description

This project aims to use small interfering RNA (siRNA) to inhibit ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) and improve the quality of liver grafts for transplantation. The study focuses on silencing hepatocyte-specific Fas receptor to reduce liver damage during transplantation, using chemically-modified siRNAs delivered via N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc). The project includes in vivo and ex vivo approaches to assess the effects of Fas silencing on IRI pathways and transplant outcomes.
