Description
This research aims to uncover how stress-sensitive neural processes differ in depressed humans relative to controls, informing development of targeted depression treatments. The study investigates KOR binding deficits and stress reactivity in major depressive disorder (MDD) using PET imaging with [11C]EKAP tracer, combined with stress tasks and EMA of daily stressors. The findings will enhance understanding of KOR’s role in stress reactivity and depression, potentially identifying stress-sensitive subtypes.
