Description
The goal of HDFCCC Clinical Protocol and Data Management (CPDM) is to support and facilitate clinical trial conduct across the entire life cycle, including protocol development, activation, accrual, conduct, monitoring, closure, and reporting. Functions are provided by the Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO), which supports efficient development, implementation, conduct, and reporting of clinical research studies, including managing clinical research personnel. The CRSO also coordinates activities with campus-wide entities such as the UCSF IRB and Office of Research. Data and safety monitoring functions are overseen by the Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC). CPDM promotes the inclusion of diverse populations, including women, minorities, and across the lifespan, by analyzing demographic data, identifying disparities, and working with investigators and community outreach to develop focused action plans.
