Award for developing and disseminating a brief Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy training program for cancer care clinicians to improve psychosocial care for advanced cancer patients.
Description
The project aims to develop and disseminate a brief, 3-session version of Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy (MCP-H) for use in acute care settings, including hospitals, hospices, and home care. The program has already trained over 695 clinicians and seeks to further expand training to an additional 360 clinicians over the next five years. The long-term goal is to improve psychosocial care for advanced cancer patients through multidisciplinary training of cancer care providers.
