Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) Use and Access in Florida's Tobacco Regulatory Environment

Research project funded by the National Cancer Institute to evaluate the impact of tobacco regulation policies on youth e-cigarette use and marketing exposure in Florida using mixed methods including spatial analysis, qualitative focus groups, participatory mapping, and quasi-experimental policy evaluation.

Description

This study will assess the relationship between e-cigarette retailer access and youth e-cigarette use, access, and exposure to marketing in Florida, explore where, how, why, and from whom youth access e-cigarettes, and whether combined tobacco regulations will reduce youth e-cigarette use and marketing exposure. It will also lay the groundwork for a tobacco regulation-oriented research program that blends multiple methods of policy analysis to guide the translation of disparities-focused research to evidence-based policy.
