NIH grant awarded to study injury-related fear in patients post-ACL reconstruction, involving surveys and interviews to improve intervention strategies.

Description

This NIH-funded research project aims to characterize injury-related fear in patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). The study will survey 50 patients at multiple time points post-ACLR and conduct interviews with a subset to understand patient perceptions of injury-related fear and its impact on recovery outcomes. The goal is to identify fear trajectories to improve psychological interventions and reduce secondary ACL injury risk.
